 Denham is about 30mins drive from Monkey Mia in the Shire of Shark Bay.  If you’ve staying in Shark Bay or travelling through then Denham’s foreshore playground is fantastic for kids of all ages.  We stayed at the Denham Tourist Village Caravan Park and the playground became a regular activity for us to cycle to along the foreshore. Denham is a very small town with little more than a few cafes, bakery, petrol station and a few boutique shops.  We were actually quite amazed at how big the pirate/nautical themed playground was and the fantastic structures and equipment it offered. The more time I spend in Bunbury, the more I realise what a wonderful family-friendly town it is! As well as the beach-side Koombana Foreshore Playground Bunbury, and the new Koolambidi Woola – Bunbury Youth Precinct, there’s another gem to discover – Sykes Foreshore Reserve! Eyre Park has had a huge upgrade approx 1 year ago. It is such a lovely place to come and let the kids burn off all that extra energy. There are plenty of tables and chairs dotted around the park, and even a few barbeques. There is also a large gazebo that you could sit under for a bit of shade. The ocean themed Busselton Foreshore Adventure Playground opened in November 2018.  Found right next to the iconic Busselton Jetty, the main feature of the playground is a giant ship, which is partially capsizing on a large decked wave, as a huge blue whale and monstrous Kraken swim around it! Emu Point playground is situated right on the beach front. It is a fantastic place to come on a nice warm day to combine a swim in the ocean and a play at the park. There are a few barbeque areas with tables and chairs scattered around. The playground itself has a couple of swings, one being a toddler seat. Children can climb on the rope obstacle course or join a friend on the stand-up see-saw. Miss 3 particularly enjoyed the pirate ship that was mounted on springs. Binningup Pirate Ship playground overlooks the ocean at Binningup Beach . The playground has a great pirate theme complete with huge ship masts and sea monster slides.   The playground has soft fall flooring, sheltered picnic tables and a gas BBQ. There are no shade sails up at present but we are told that they are going to be installed. The play equipment is great for crawlers, toddlers and older children.   You will need to take along your own food and water as there are no food outlets close by.
