Buggybuddys Guide to Parks in Perth and Playgrounds in Perth
Find Playgrounds near me
The ultimate guide to the best playgrounds and parks in Perth! Kids love burning off energy at parks and playgrounds, and Perth’s got some of the best in the world. We’ve seen many new super parks open up recently with some impressive play equipment, features and facilities. Best of all, they’re all FREE!
We’ve listed sand and no-sand parks as we know this can be an issue with some parents not wanting their kids to play in sand. We’ve added categories to filter parks with water features, enclosed fenced playgrounds, partly fenced and non-fenced. Those with open water where you can visit the ducks and enjoy some wildlife during your trip to the park. Many parks have toilets. However, some local community playgrounds don’t, which can be a deal breaker if you’re potty training your little one or want to stay longer than an hour. So we’ve listed parks with toilets available.
Lastly, we’ve added details of where playgrounds are close to local coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Therefore you can grab a bite to eat before or after your play, or grab a takeaway coffee.

If you’re on the lookout for a brand-new playground to explore in Perth, look no further than Koala Cove Park! Nestled in the picturesque Movida Estate, this park is a haven for kids and parents alike. As we stepped out of the car, the boys couldn’t contain their excitement. Their eyes widened with wonder as they caught sight of the magnificent koala climbing structure that stands tall at Read more…

Luminous Park is a “super fun” new playground that has everything (minus toilets) and is the third amazing great play space for the lucky residents of the vibrant Iluma Private Estate in Bennett Springs. The huge blue climbing tower is easy for little climbers to navigate and features a giant tunnel slide, a smaller slide, noughts and crosses, and a picnic table at the top. To the tower’s slide is a small sand play area with a bench, metal sift and buckets on pulley systems – this is the only sad at the playground so you are unlikely to go home Read more…

Just around the corner from the Alexander Heights IGA, is Lemongrass Park, a lovely shaded playground with traditional equipment and some nature play elements. One of the main features that caught our eye was the rope equipment. The curved slide has a rope web to climb up instead of stairs, and there are various rope webs or swinging ropes with a balancing rope below to cross. Miss 3 enjoyed having a go on all of these. Attached the rope structure is a small rock climbing wall, shaped like a sail, to go up and over. Nearby in the sandpit is Read more…

Within the newly built Amberton Estate is Eglinton Park Playground, AKA “The Flying Fox Park” The park is overlooked by residential houses and a relatively quiet road with ample roadside parking. I would suggest the park is more suited to older kids rather than toddlers due to the openness directly onto the road, extremely steep stairs, slope and slides. The biggest attraction to this park is the huge Flying Fox (suitable for 5years plus) which is fantastic fun for the adults as well! I personally found it exhilarating and terrifying at the same time! There is a sandpit area complete Read more…
