Many centres now offer preschooler sessions. These include toddler and kindergärtner friendly activities and crafts. Sing and dance, or create a piece of artwork to pin on your fridge.
Likewise, other centres are home to little libraries or play areas suitable for kids of all ages. Many have partnered with the local library, and offer books available to check out or to just sit and read together. Play areas and indoor playgrounds allow children to expend some energy.

Set right in the middle of the new, vibrant dining and entertainment precinct at Westfield Whitford City is a beautifully unique play area for children. Overlooked by many of the restaurants and sheltered underneath shade sails, the play area is unlike any I’ve ever seen before. If you’ve ducked into Woolies at the Banksia Grove Shopping Centre recently, you’ll have probably noticed a new play area near the entrance. The bright and colourful play space has something to amuse most kids. The first thing we noticed was the slide. The ladder for this is built inside what looks like colourful metal crates.
