Kambarang Garden Centre, Bentley

The inner city suburb of Lathlain is a hip little spot for young families. Laika Coffee has great brews, brunches and treats. There’s a grassed area, with plenty of seating and room for strollers. The cafe is a favourite with mothers groups. There’s plenty of seating options and enough room to accommodate prams. Jarra Infusion Café, Pinjarra

The quirky Jarra Infusion Café is found on the main street in Pinjarra. Out the back is a large indoor dining room, plus there is more covered seating in the garden, by the river, in full view of the kids play area. Café Mojo, Mundaring

Avocados, Kelmscott

Avocados is a leafy spot, set in the foothills, on the banks of the Canning River. There’s loads of room for a big group with strollers, especially outside in the alfresco dining area, by the fully fenced and gated playground which is shaded by trees and shade sails.     The Roastery doesn’t have the kids area anymore unfortunately. We met up with family who live close by as we thought it was a good option for our kids. It was very loud, busy and tables were jammed in which made it hard for a pram to get through. Might be worth removing this one from the list.
