Having a mid-week struggle? Why donโ€™t you leave the cooking and entertaining on Thursday nights to The Left Bank? Because on Thursday night… It is Kids Eat Free* with every main purchased and comes with free entertainment for the kids from 5-7pm!

Located on the edge of the Swan River, this historic Boat Builder House is the perfect spot for a relaxing meal with a great atmosphere and a fantastic river view.

Upon arriving, the kids were all eyes glued to the kidโ€™s entertainment happening at the Conservatory Deck.

Kids get to enjoy free face painting – all very professionally done and very accommodating to all the girlsโ€™ requests. Missy 9 and Missy 6 had their face and arms painted with all kind of sparkling gems, sparkles and glitters which made their day!

The coloring table is filled with various activities for them to do. They can take a seat and find a book to read, use the stencils to draw, or colour in the coloring sheets.

The play corner has plenty of toys to keep them entertained from Lego to building blocks.

We placed our order at the bar counter and got our drinks quickly. A wide variety of tap beers are available, and screens show LIVE sports above the bar counter.

We tried their summer menu (I heard there is a new menu coming up very soon!).. For starters, we had the Salt and Pepper Calamari and Pork Belly Bites. For our mains, we had the Sirloin Steak and Prawn Linguine.

Their kidsโ€™ menu is very simple and does not include any drinks. The kids had the Fish and Chips and Kids Pasta – Linguine with napolitana sauce.

The portion of their kidsโ€™ meals is generous. Missy 9 enjoyed her pasta very much! Missy 6โ€™s Fish and Chips were some of the most delicious fish we have had lately! The batter is light, airy, and still crunchy, and the fish is succulent and fresh!

Each kidsโ€™ meal came with a complimentary kid pack, which included an activity booklet with stickers, finger puppets, and coloured pencils.

When the kids finished dinner, they went back for round 2 of face painting! Hubby and I got to enjoy some relaxing time, listening to music, and watching the stunning sunset view!

The food was great and competitively priced. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options on their menu. They do Walk-Ins and only do bookings for groups of 8+. There are baby chairs available, and there is a baby change table in their disabled toilet. Free parking is available at their small parking lot just beside the pub, or along the streets. You can also join their loyalty program to earn points with every purchase!

*T&C apply โ€“ not available on public holidays and special event days.
