Edwardes Park Nature Playground is an extension to the existing small playground and sits adjacent to a large oval. Made from recycled material it makes a nice addition to the suburban area and utilises material from the Henderson waste treatment facility. Manning Park in Spearwood is the perfect spot to take the kids out for a picnic and play in the park. The reserve is huge with four car parks in total and plenty of wide open grassed areas. The playground itself is quite amazing, plenty for all ages, stages and abilities. There are shade sails over each section and plenty of trees to pull up under too. It’s accessed from Taylor St (off Canning Hwy) and there are plenty of parking spaces (some shaded) on both Taylor St. and the adjacent Garland St. Toilets (LHS) and parking on Taylor St. There are male and female toilets on both Taylor and Garland Streets and these were….well…what you would expect in a park. Britannia Reserve Pump Track Britannia Reserve Pump Track is a 1.2km pump track and nature bike trail in Leederville. Close to the city, it’s a great spot to take active kids of all ages out riding. Britannia Reserve Pump Track was originally installed as part of a Pop-Up Play initiative in April 2019. It has quickly become a permanent fixture. Neil McDougall Park is a leafy park with a great playground for kids of all ages in the heart of Como. The first thing that grabbed Miss 3’s attention when we arrived here was the flying fox. The small but mighty nature-based Jurien Bay Oval Playground at the Jurien Sport and Recreation Centre has to be Perth’s most unique playground! At our weekly shop on Saturday we were very excited to see that Floreat Forum shopping centre has just opened a new playground in the outdoor area by the cafes/restaurants. Previously there had just been a couple of small things for toddlers to play on but now there is a proper playground complete with shade sails. Walk around to the other side of the community centre and you will find a recently constructed, fully fenced and shaded, toddler playground.
