Peet Park in Kewdale has recently had an upgrade with brand new playground equipment. The new equipment is suitable for all ages and includes three slides, lots of climbing fun, see-saw and merry-go-round. There are also swings, including one toddler swing. All the equipment is on bright colourful soft fall base and was shaded nicely by large trees.
The playground is adjacent to the community centre, large oval and cricket nets so plenty of space for ball games or running around as well. There are public toilets and a drinking fountain.
We stopped by recently and my five year old enjoyed it. She loved all the climbing ropes and the big slide. I thought the equipment was well laid out with a small, medium and large slides to keep toddlers and older kids occupied.
My daughter spent most of her time climbing the ropes and climbing walls to access the slide, which she loved. In the middle of the equipment is some small steps and a small slide or continue up the ramp through the tunnel to the platform and twisty slide. The equipment also has a fireman’s pole, noughts and crosses, a clock and a shop.
Also on the soft fall is a merry-go-round and a bouncy see-saw. The swing set has a toddler swing and a standard swing. There is a park bench at the edge of the park for parents to sit while the kids play.
