Located hillside of City Beach Oval is a BRAND NEW playground full of personality and adventure! The highlight for the kids was definitely twin mirrored hill racing slides! Although fast they are suitable for most ages, and big enough for us parents to take our little ones down! The nature-based playground also includes a variety of balancing and stepping logs. Lincoln Road Reserve in Forrestfield has had a recent upgrade adding nature play, ninja course and double flying fox to the existing play equipment. The double flying fox has a seat with a harness and the disc-style. The flying fox is quite long and as always we spent quite a bit of time on here. The play equipment has monkey bars, a small platform and a slide but after a few turns on the monkey bar, it was the ninja obstacles and flying fox that kept my daughter occupied. Rockface has been Perth’s favourite climbing gym since 1996.  With 9m top-rope walls and a 2.8m kids bouldering wall, your child will find lots of climbs to challenge their critical thinking and expand their physical abilities. The Eden Beach Lookout and Playspace is a brand new section of Eden Beach estate in Jindalee has just opened (Dec 2021) and it’s great for the older kids! Featuring a basketball court, rock climbing wall, parkour, skate/scooter ramps and a huge grassy area it’s a beautiful spot to spend a few hours. My kids loved the parkour, and the scooter ramps were a huge hit. There’s a few shaded picnic bench areas and also a bbq as well. Found besides the waters of Lake Claremont is a small, but lovely nature playground. The newish play area opened in July 2018 and has been designed for primary school aged kids, though little ones will love the sand play! The main fort structure is suitable for older kids, as it is made up of wooden steps and rope to climb up to the top. Nestled amongst the new Niche Living housing estate in Willetton is a brand new playground perfect for kids of any age. We went to check it out over the weekend and my kids (aged 2 and 6) loved it! The playground is off Portcullis Drive, Willetton, however, construction is still on going and the entrance is being fenced off from that entry at the moment. Treehouse Cove Playground is Golden Bay’s newest playground. The treehouse-inspired playground opened in July 2022 and features nature-based play elements, slides, seesaws, a toddler play space, lots of open turf areas and picnic and BBQ facilities. The main feature is the treehouse climbing structure, and it is every little climber’s dream come true! It features rope bridges, rope tunnels, rope ladders and climbing obstacles underneath.  The treehouse also features two big tunnel slides. The new Palmerston Square playground in Bassendean is NOW OPEN and ready to be explored! The old playground equipment has been replaced by a beautiful wooden playground. The environment is a really lovely green space, with shade from the many trees that have been planted, plus the existing established trees. We had an absolute blast at Bathers Park, the newest addition to Alkimos Beach. Nestled alongside the Alkimos Beach foreshore, Bathers Park stretches across 2.5 hectares at the ocean end of Leatherback Boulevard. This vibrant beach-themed was an instant hit with my kids and completely captured their imaginations! The highlight of our visit was the impressive surf rescue play tower, soaring seven meters high. The tower boasts a large tunnel slide, speaking tubes, a lookout point, climbing ropes, and a “4 in a row” game. Beyond its entertainment value, the tower also serves an educational purpose. OPTUS STADIUM SENSORY PLAYGROUND – Smack in between the Camfield and the new bridge at Stadium park at Optus Stadium you will find a fully fenced sensory playground. This is a very well thought out, fun park! The first things my girls ran towards were the big rope climbing frame and the slide. Located across from the WA Museum Boola Bardip is the Perth Cultural Centre Playspace, a quirky little play space which has a heavy focus on sensory play.  The Playspace is fully fenced and gated and it is open daily from 8am – 7pm. It is recommended that the playspace is suitable most for children aged 6 – 13 years but children under that age can get a lot out of it too.
