Have you checked out Mills Park Skate Plaza? If you have children that love to skate, next time you’re in the area be sure to throw the skateboards and scooters in your car.
The skate park is located at the brilliant Mills Park, where there’s also a HUGE play area, lots of grassed space to kick a footy and an excellent café (Fika on Brix) too.
The skate park has plenty to keep kids from beginner to advanced level skaters entertained. There’s a lot to encourage kids to work on their skills at the concrete park, and the City of Gosnells even holds regular skate clinics and competitions.
Mills Skate Plaza features:
- Articulated banks
- Long ledges, curbs and rails
- Hips and transitions
- A four foot high mini ramp
Some of the area is shaded by large established trees. There are covered areas too. Other facilities at Mills Skate Park include seating, a water fountain, bike racks, toilets and there’s loads of parking.
Next to the plaza is basketball and tennis courts too. It’s a brilliant cost-free outdoor activity for kids, particularly those tweens in the sometimes hard to entertain and drag off the technology age group.
Be sure to couple a trip to the skate plaza with a play in the adventure playground too.
