Edwardes Park Nature Playground is an extension to the existing small playground and sits adjacent to a large oval. Made from recycled material it makes a nice addition to the suburban area and utilises material from the Henderson waste treatment facility. Edwardes Park Nature Playground features a double flying fox including one to suit disabled children with an access ramp. Just 5 minutes drive from Garden City Shopping Centre, atop Wireless Hill, is a beautiful is Wireless Hill Nature Playspace. We arrived in the middle of the day, and amazingly the play area is naturally shaded by the surrounding trees, even at noon. John Oldham Park is a bit of a hidden gem and the last place you would expect alongside a busy freeway intersection so close to the city, but once you have found it you will often find that you have the place to yourself, except for the odd cyclist on the path down to the Mounts Bay Road. At our weekly shop on Saturday we were very excited to see that Floreat Forum shopping centre has just opened a new playground in the outdoor area by the cafes/restaurants.
