This has to be one of the best nature playgrounds we’ve been to in the local area The Edge Playground in Baldivis is beautiful! It’s a unique and contemporary space that lots of additional features including a maze, hopscotch and cool street art incorporated into the area by Perth street artist Stormie Mills. If you love a walk or ride along the Swan River like we do, be sure to add the Scented Gardens Playground on the South Perth foreshore to your list of places to stop. The Scented Gardens are found Sir James Mitchell Park, about half way between the Mends Street Jetty and Coode Street Jetty. Just off of Main Street in Balcatta is Conway Reserve, a bright, colourful playground surrounded by a grassy park. Conway Reserve is partially fenced with a path running from Harrison Street to Archibald Street, and a large grassed area for ball games or exercising the dog. The playground structure features two slides of different sizes, climbing ladders, a fireman pole, a tunnel and a bridge. Point Walter is a beautiful spot on the south bank of the Swan River perfect for picnics, swimming and playing in the not one but two playgrounds! The playground is surrounded by huge Norfolk Island Pines and green grass making it a great spot for a picnic. The Perry Lakes Reserve is a 200 acre nature reserve found on the eastern edge of the larger Bold Park reserve in Floreat. There are two playgrounds here, set amongst beautiful trees, large grassed areas and two lakes. The older playground on the western side of the reserve is shaded by trees, it also has the extra sun protection of shade sails throughout. Let the games begin! If your kids love little athletics they’ll absolutely love Pegasus Park in Bennett Springs!!! Since opening in mid 2016 Shepherds Bush Park in Kingsley has been a popular place for kids to take their bikes and scooters, now the popular playground also includes a pump and jump bike trail. Brabham has recently added a new park to Ariella estate, Ariella Adventure Park, and it’s absolutely delightful. The park features an awesome dragonfly play structure which consists of two rope climbing frames and one giant slide. The kids loved climbing up high at the top of the frame then walking along, before doing their best speed down the slide! It kept them entertained for ages!
