If you love a farm shop, add this Perth Hills gem to your list. Willow Springs Orchard is just minutes from Armadale, a short drive up Albany Highway, into the Bedfordale bushland. Here you’ll find fresh produce, coffee and plenty of spaces for the kids to roam in nature.
Year-round its farm shop is packed with the bounty of the season. Right now (December) you’ll find fresh Perth Hills cherries, just-picked stone fruit, mangoes and more. While at other times of year, you’ll find their plump persimmons, kiwi fruit and more.
Also in the well-stocked farm shop are local honey, eggs, delicious preserves and This Little Pig Went to Market fruit, stir fry and roasting packs – a Perth exclusive. Plus,it’s always a good idea to support local, so be sure to bring your esky and stock up on the week’s fruit and veggies.
The kids will love meeting their baby goat in the fenced play area.
Here there’s plenty of grass to run about on, plus balancing obstacles, toys, a little book library and more.
Grab a coffee and sweet treat from the gorgeous Flower Garden Cakery coffee van (Weds–Sun). Food trucks are rolling in on the weekends too. Please check their socials for current food truck line ups and hours.
There’s a shady area for you to sit, while the kids are entertained with toys.
I loved visiting in autumn, when their rich red persimmon leaves really put on a show and they offer orchard walks for you to take stunning photos.
Whatever time of year you visit this sweet spot, you can be sure there’s always something new at Willow Springs Orchard Bedfordale.
