The Eden Beach Lookout and Playspace is a brand new section of Eden Beach estate in Jindalee has just opened (Dec 2021) and itโs great for the older kids! Fantasy Park at Waikiki is a large accessible park with plenty of play areas for kids to explore, a sensory garden with animal sculptures, a dog friendly park and also the home to Rockinghamโs only disc golf course. Point Fraser Foreshore Reserve is a must visit if you’re heading into the city for the day with older kids. The equipment in this park is more suited towards school-aged children due to the equipment and steep hills around the landscape of the park. Bert Wright Park is a small nature playground located behind the library and community centre in Bayswater. For a small area, there is plenty to offer, the park has a nature play area, Basketball hoop, expanse of grass, concrete pathway and BBQ and covered picnic table. We recently stopped at the new Ernest Johnson Reserve playground in South Perth. This is a great little playground with plenty for mixed ages, a large oval and bbq facilities. There is also a carpark with plenty of parking. The space is suitable for dogs with a drinking fountain and doggy bowl but dogs must stay out the playground. Promenade Park is tucked amongst apartment buildings in Burswood. It has recently been updated with new playground equipment. The Charles Riley Reserve is tucked away in North Beach alongside the local Community Centre and sports fields. There are rolling manicured lawns and landscaped gardens surrounding a small war memorial, and behind this, you will find a fun new playground that is sand-based with additional purple soft fall surfaces.
