Buggybuddys Guide to Parks in Perth and Playgrounds in Perth
Find Playgrounds near me
The ultimate guide to the best playgrounds and parks in Perth! Kids love burning off energy at parks and playgrounds, and Perth’s got some of the best in the world. We’ve seen many new super parks open up recently with some impressive play equipment, features and facilities. Best of all, they’re all FREE!
We’ve listed sand and no-sand parks as we know this can be an issue with some parents not wanting their kids to play in sand. We’ve added categories to filter parks with water features, enclosed fenced playgrounds, partly fenced and non-fenced. Those with open water where you can visit the ducks and enjoy some wildlife during your trip to the park. Many parks have toilets. However, some local community playgrounds don’t, which can be a deal breaker if you’re potty training your little one or want to stay longer than an hour. So we’ve listed parks with toilets available.
Lastly, we’ve added details of where playgrounds are close to local coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Therefore you can grab a bite to eat before or after your play, or grab a takeaway coffee.

While the Wanneroo skate park has been established for a long time a children’s playground is a more recent addition. The park sits within the confines of the showgrounds, meaning it is secure for little runaways! I’m not sure if the playground colours of green and purple are a nod to the 1970’s Wanneroo Primary School colours, or just a happy accident, either way, it is a fun combo. The equipment features a curved slide, swings and a rowboat. There are a lot of ramps to run along and climbing frames. The whole playground is covered in shade sails to Read more…

If you’re looking for somewhere near the beach for coffee and a play date, Coogee Beach Playground, with its ship themed play structure, could be just the place for you. The structure itself is mainly wooden with a sand pit base and features a wavy slide and rope ladders. There’s a rope bridge, a telescope and portholes to look through as well as an alphabet and numbers game. Based on the height of the playground, I’d say this one is for kids two and over. Especially with the rope ladders and rope bridge, littler ones will need watching and assistance. Read more…

The small but mighty nature-based Jurien Bay Oval Playground at the Jurien Sport and Recreation Centre has to be Perth’s most unique playground! The playground was brought to life by the same team who built the very popular Jurien Bay Foreshore Playground and is inspired by the home of Jurien Bay’s local football club, the Bulldogs. The standout is definitely the Bulldog climbing structure which also features two double slides – I love all the finer details like the spiked collar and rope leash. The boys also thought it was hilarious climbing up the dog’s butt 🙈 There is a Read more…
