Find Playgrounds near me
The ultimate guide to the best playgrounds and parks in Perth! Kids love burning off energy at parks and playgrounds, and Perth’s got some of the best in the world. We’ve seen many new super parks open up recently with some impressive play equipment, features and facilities. Best of all, they’re all FREE!
We’ve listed sand and no-sand parks as we know this can be an issue with some parents not wanting their kids to play in sand. We’ve added categories to filter parks with water features, enclosed fenced playgrounds, partly fenced and non-fenced. Those with open water where you can visit the ducks and enjoy some wildlife during your trip to the park. Many parks have toilets. However, some local community playgrounds don’t, which can be a deal breaker if you’re potty training your little one or want to stay longer than an hour. So we’ve listed parks with toilets available.
Lastly, we’ve added details of where playgrounds are close to local coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Therefore you can grab a bite to eat before or after your play, or grab a takeaway coffee.
Opened in 2020, this great park in Australind makes a great stopover on the way down south. It takes its name from the local Wardandi Noongar language. Karragarup means “place of crabs”, as the bay the park sits on is well known for it’s blue swimmer crab population. So, what better way to celebrate that than by playing on the giant blue swimmer crab that takes pride of place in the centre of the park! With one claw held high holding a net swing and water misters coming of him, you can’t miss it! The whole playground has a coastal Read more…
Calleya Grandis playground is packed full of features suitable for all ages. The extensive climbing rope structure provides a great ninja course or a “Floor is Lava” challenge. The coloured windows in the treehouse look fantastic and give you a pretty cool view of the surrounding playground area before heading down the tunnel slide. The 3 inground mini trampolines are lots of Read more…

My kids think the Catalina Beach Park in Mindarie is AWESOME! The first thing the kids did when we arrived was climb to the top of the 8-metre tall tower, before racing down ‘the steepest slide they have ever seen’! As they raced down one by one they let out terrifying screams… then immediately raced back to the top to go down again and again! The climb to the top of the tower is an easy and safe climb for confident kids. To reach the first platform there is a steel or rope ladder. On this level there is a Read more…

OPTUS STADIUM SENSORY PLAYGROUND – Smack in between the Camfield and the new bridge at Stadium park at Optus Stadium you will find a fully fenced sensory playground. This is a very well thought out, fun park! The first things my girls ran towards were the big rope climbing frame and the slide. It was interesting to watch so many attempt Read more…
As a mum of a busy 2-year-old toddler, I couldn’t be more thrilled with Joondalup Square playground, located opposite the gigantic Bunnings Warehouse. While the Wanneroo skate park has been established for a long time a children’s playground is a more recent addition. The park sits within the confines of the showgrounds, meaning it is secure for little runaways! I’m not sure if the playground colours of green and purple are a nod to the 1970’s Wanneroo Primary School colours, or just a happy accident, either way, it is a fun combo. The equipment features a curved slide, swings and a rowboat. There are a lot of ramps to run along and climbing frames. The whole playground is covered in shade sails to Read more…
Manning Park in Spearwood is the perfect spot to take the kids out for a picnic and play in the park. The reserve is huge with four car parks in total and plenty of wide open grassed areas.
