A bit like the Secret Garden, Ivory Park is a hidden gem tucked away in the suburb of Noranda. It’s felt like a bit of an adventure trying to find it, hidden down some stairs, but it was well worth the effort. I’ve recently rediscovered Woodbridge Riverside Park and I think it’s great! It’s located on the river in Woodbridge, near Guildford. This is a fully fenced park with safety latch gates at the main entrance. Although it’s not that close to us I’ve found it worth the drive as Miss 3 and friends have loved it each time we’ve been. There are so many play areas to explore, sand, nature and water play, slides, flying fox, tunnels, swings and a large expanse of green grass. The very cute SS Wyola steam tug inspired playground has opened up in North Coogee along side the North Coogee dog beach at the end of Robb & Rollinson Roads. At the first part of the tug boat has rope ladders leading up to the helm and a clear view out to sea including a speaking tube to command the crew. Bert Wright Park is a small nature playground located behind the library and community centre in Bayswater. For a small area, there is plenty to offer, the park has a nature play area, Basketball hoop, expanse of grass, concrete pathway and BBQ and covered picnic table. Piney Lakes Reserve Sensory Play Park in Winthrop is located on Murdoch Drive just off Leach Highway. As you walk through the main entrance of the playground there is a lighthouse painted by local artist Brenton See overlooking the sand and water play areas. Perry Lakes Rope Playground is located on Perry Lakes Drive, near the corner of Meager Drive. The playground is fully fenced and gated, and I feel it would be more suited to children aged three years and older who have more strength to climb and balance.
