Calling all climbers! The recently revamped play space at Flinders Park in Hillarys is ideal for kids who love a challenge. The playground reopened several months ago and now boasts various rope ladders and climbing frames, plus balance and stepping logs for kids to test their agility. Langley Park Playground is an ideal playground if you’re visiting the city on a family day trip as it’s conveniently located in East Perth.  The playground is suitable for kids age 3yrs plus (despite the sign saying 4yrs) and there are toilets directly next to the park. Tucked away in the quiet northern suburb of Mullaloo, Korella Park is a lovely neighbourhood Playground that’s perfect for a relaxed play stop with younger children. Set alongside a big sports field, the play area features Forpark equipment in a sandpit-style setting, all edged by a low sandstone wall that also doubles as seating for supervising adults. While there are no shade sails, mature leafy trees nearby cast shade over the surrounding grass, making it easy to spread out a picnic blanket and settle in. Russell Square Playground features a free-standing birds-nest swing, two slides of different sizes, monkey bars, a balancing bridge, and a climbing. There is plenty to climb and bridges to run across,… as well as some grassed area next to the playground. The base is rubbery soft fall decorated with cute ladybugs. Stretton Way Reserve, situated behind Kenwick Village and is one of the shadiest parks I have seen. Shade sails cover the climbing equipment as well as the BBQ area making it good for summer outings. The play equipment has an excellent variety of play equipment including three slides, monkey bars, balancing equipment, various levels of climbing structures, and a basketball hoop.
