Dejaxo Artisan Bakery – Situated among the many shops outside the Carine Glades Shopping Centre is the new Dejaxo Artisan Bakery – Carine Central. Dejaxo Carine’s atmosphere inside the cafe is warm and inviting, well-lit and decorated with lots of wooden furnishings and greenery.

The cafe was busy with lots of happy, chatting patrons. On arrival, while waiting to be served, we were greeted by the manageress and made to feel welcome. The staff were all friendly, and the service was fast. We’d barely sat down to wait for our order before they called us up.

We grabbed a takeaway latte for me, a glass of water for Little Miss, and a chocolate mud cake topped with a strawberry to share. The coffee was perfect, the same delicious blend they use at the original Dejaxo. The mudcake was coated in a chocolate ganache with a chocolate base, and was dense and moist. The two went together perfectly. The cake was half gobbled up before we remembered we should have taken a photograph!

As it is their first week open, cabinet options were a little limited. But, with lots of space to fill, I’m sure they will soon be packed with just as many fresh bakery treats as Dejaxo Mount Hawthorn. Otherwise, Dejaxo Carine also serves a similar menu from their kitchen. I think kids would enjoy the pancakes or the dejaffles, milkshakes or smoothies. Babycinos and hot chocolates are also available.

A new addition to this Dejaxo is dinners! These will be available from Thursday evening through Sunday evening.

Like the original Dejaxo in Mount Hawthorn, this Dejaxo also has a kids area outside, albeit a little smaller to fit within the space available. This is located to the side of the cafe, just past the counter. It includes a table and chairs with some wooden puzzle toys, and a small chalk board for drawing.

Little Miss loved the puzzle toys especially. Outdoor chairs and tables are adjacent under the shady trees so that parents and carers can enjoy their coffee or meal while keeping an eye on their little ones.

Also like the original Dejaxo, this one also has highchairs available. We also spotted that there are slightly taller booster-style chairs kept inside in the same spot for younger children too old for a highchair. There is also space to park a pram or two inside, but there is probably more room to park outside.
