There’s a huge old red double-decker bus accompanying the sign on Caves Road, so you can’t miss it! Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse
Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse has undergone a $1million upgrade. Families visiting the historic south west WA landmark can enjoy panoramic ocean views from the observation deck (keep your eyes peeled for whales!), join a lighthouse tour, grab a bite to eat in the cottage café and there’s even a small playground. Love spending time on the beach? Your family will be spoilt for choice in Dunsborough! Popular beaches in the area include Meelup Beach and Bunker Bay. If you’re staying in the main town, there are plenty of sandy spots within walking distance.

Happs, Dunsborough
The wonderful Happs winery is found in native bush, just south of Dunsborough. This laid back spot is not only home to some of my favourite drops, it has a pottery with artworks for sale. Elski Danish Ice Creamery
‘Elsk is’ means ‘love ice cream’ in Danish. And it is clear from the delightful ice cream made here that they really LOVE ice cream. Found in the heart of town, this spot is a must try for the whole fam! See more in the Buggybuddys review.
The Dunsborough Tavern
Driving into Dunsborough, you can’t miss the colourful play area that’s attached to the Dunsborough Tavern. The pub is well worth a visit if you have little ones in tow, they’ll love a play in the fenced play area, while you can eat your dinner in relative peace. See more in the Buggybuddys review.
Bunbury Farmers Market, Vasse Village
Just before you hit Dunsborough, the NEW Bunbury Farmers Market, Vasse Village has opened! It’s even better than the OG store in Bunbury – this has a fantastic playground too. One of our most favourite places to stay in WA is the Pullman Resort at Bunker Bay. The 5-star resort is nestled on the white sands of the beautiful bay.
