Situated on the beach in Amberton Estate, Eglinton, this brand new playground is perfect for toddlers and is also fenced! Whilst not fully fenced, the majority is gated/fenced with the only escape being some wooden logs that leave it open, parents can sit on the grass near the logs through which I did, to catch any little escapees! Clarko Reserve is a coastal reserve located at Trigg Beach at the end of Karrinyup Road. The jewel colours of the verdant green grass and shimmering blue sea beyond the dunes is a feast for the eyes. At a sheltered end of the reserve, near the beach car park, is a good sized playground with equipment to suit a range of children. Ivy Watson Playground in Kings Park is a great playground built specifically for 6 year olds and under. The area is fenced but it is large with several different play areas and can get very busy so you’ll need to keep an eye on your little ones. The playground is accessible via Kings Park Road with plenty of parking available. Robert Thompson Reserve is a large grassy park located opposite the Noranda Village Shopping Centre. In the centre of this lovely park is a playground with equipment to suit most children. The ground surrounding the play equipment is a mix of sand and rubbery soft-fall. There are shade sails up in the warmer months, and there are a few small trees shading parts of the playground. At Carrington Park in Nedlands, a new playground has been installed.   Yay! Don’t worry, Big Bertha is still there, shining as brightly as ever, New play equipment, new shades, new tables and chairs. The new playground is more toddler-friendly with shorter slides, smaller steps, a rocking frog and a crawling tunnel. Kids of all ages can still enjoy it nonetheless. It is still fully gated and fenced. They were plenty of friendly dogs doing their morning exercise or just simply running area on the grassy area just outside the playground. Banksia Grove Nature Playground is a small nature-based playground located between Dragonfly Road and Potoroo Street on the Eastern Side of Banksia Grove. The wooden play equipment is perfect for helping children with balance, coordination and confidence. The equipment features balance posts with rope, twisted net, shaky bridge, balancing beam and a little wooden table with posts for chairs. Just around the corner from the Alexander Heights IGA, is Lemongrass Park, a lovely shaded playground with traditional equipment and some nature play elements. One of the main features that caught our eye was the rope equipment. Hilton Park is tucked away in the middle of Duncraig. You can access it from the end of 6 cul-de-sacs, one being Hilton Place. This is great as there are no busy roads running alongside it though it means there isn’t a lot of parking available. Hilton Park is a large park with plenty of tall trees offering shade. Hawaiian’s Mezz Playground, Mount Hawthorn   Recently Hawaiian’s Mezz in Mount Hawthorn upgraded their children’s playground to a new nature play style setup. This new playground engages children from toddlers to tweens, and is a great place to stop off whilst getting your shopping done. The main part of the playground is a new wooden play structure. Fun new adventure playgrounds seem to be popping up everywhere around Perth at the moment, we recently visited the BRAND NEW The Hales Park in Forrestfield. The Hales Park is nature-based, the main play structure is a 9 metre tall wooden tower that features a huge tunnel slide. As we arrived my 7 year old and her friend couldn’t wait to climb to the top, as they came racing down the 14 metre slide all we could hear was giggles of fun and excitement.
