Found in the heart of a new housing estate, Mason Green Park in Piara Waters is a brilliant spot for a play. There’s lots of fun elements packed into this compact playground including a little nature play, as well as thinks to keep active and fit. Stretton Way Reserve, situated behind Kenwick Village and is one of the shadiest parks I have seen. Shade sails cover the climbing equipment as well as the BBQ area making it good for summer outings. The play equipment has an excellent variety of play equipment including three slides, monkey bars, balancing equipment, various levels of climbing structures, and a basketball hoop. Today we tried out the new playground at Richardson Park in South Perth, just near the Perth Zoo. We found it to have a good range of equipment for a range of ages and it backs onto a large expanse of grass for ball games or running around. Miles Park, Cloverdale is a local suburban park and a little gem. There’s a decent traditional sand based park which features swings, a slide and climbing structure. Walk around to the other side of the community centre and you will find a recently constructed, fully fenced and shaded, toddler playground.
