Halliday Park is a quiet park with lots of open green space located behind The Bayswater Hotel. There is a shaded playground area, plenty of grass space for running and ball games, picnic tables, BBQs, drinking fountains, toilets and great views. There is a bike/walk path along the river if you want to include a walk or ride. The river is below the river wall and quite a distance from the playground. Piney Lakes Reserve Sensory Play Park in Winthrop is located on Murdoch Drive just off Leach Highway. The park offers school-aged kids lots of nature play equipment as well as some interesting items I’ve not seen in other parks yet.
