Create a living gift for your mum this Mother’s day weekend. Choose from a selection of flowering annuals and decorate a terracotta pot.
Mother’s Day cookie decorating workshop
You will walk away with a gorgeous box of treats you have decorated yourself, an easy recipe and a whole bundle of knowledge about creating different designs! These will last to gift to someone special on Mother’s Day.
Our classes are friendly and relaxed. You’ll get a demonstration and lots of helpful tips, then plenty of time to decorate your pre-baked treats.
What’s included:
– a demonstration of how to make your bases, with lots of hints and tips for baking the perfect cookie
– nine pre-baked cookies to decorate
– the chance to decorate with your own designs, using the extensive range of sprinkles, cutters and edible paints available

Join us for a delightful start to your Mothers Day weekend at our relaxing clay workshop, with a tasty pastry in hand. Our expert guide will introduce you to beginner-friendly clay techniques, allowing you to craft your very own ceramic masterpieces while enjoying your coffee.
Sculpt and shape beautiful clay mugs and vases, exploring the free-form and organic qualities achievable through hand-building techniques. From crafting bowls to designing mugs, you’ll have the next couple of hours to unleash your creativity.
Whether you’re seeking a moment of self-care or a friendly catch-up, all skill levels are welcome. Clay is a delightful hobby, perfect for those looking to try something new. Don’t miss out on this beautiful, mindful, and creative experience!”
An experience to share with Mum: This workshop is open to people aged 10 years and over, so young creatives can attend with their Mums! Please note that all children aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
What this workshop includes:
– All equipment and tools required including clay
– Firing and glazing for 2 pieces (a small bowl and/or mug)
– Instructions & guidance from one of our team of hobby experts
– Pastries, teas and refreshments on arrival
What to bring:
Clay is wonderfully messy! It does wash out of clothes, but if you are super messy we’d recommend an apron. We have some at the venue if you forget.
Important info about this workshop:
Following the workshop, your pieces will be bisque fired, clear glazed, and glaze fired before being returned for you to collect and treasure within 6-8 weeks.
If you create more than 2 x items, you can pay a kiln & glazing fee per item to turn other creations into usable ceramic vessels. Pricing depends on the size of your creation.
Pottery can be challenging, sometimes on the first go, you might not create something you love. We will do our best to help coach you along the way. Ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable. Due to this, there are limitations on the size of your items, sadly pieces break during the firing process and we want to ensure you have a beautiful and functional piece. Trust us, we have had to learn from heartbreak!
Don’t worry though our expert will cover all of this at the start of your workshop.

FIFO Family Meet-Up (Mother’s Day)
Are you a FIFO family in Perth, wanting to meet others who get what it’s like to live a FIFO life?
This free event is your opportunity to connect and have a cuppa with other local FIFO Families who ‘get it’, where you can begin to overcome the loneliness and isolation that too often comes with FIFO rosters and being a FIFO partner.
Bonus – you get an outing on a Sunday morning, where the kids are contained (fully-fenced play area), you’re inside if it rains and there are lots of great coffee shops nearby.
