Glasson park is a fully-gated and fenced playground, with a track around it for kids to safely scoot around in their trikes or scooters. There are plenty of shaded grass areas too. Calling all climbers! The recently revamped play space at Flinders Park in Hillarys is ideal for kids who love a challenge. The playground reopened several months ago and now boasts various rope ladders and climbing frames, plus balance and stepping logs for kids to test their agility. The play structures are best suited to older children but my toddler was still able to climb up some of the ladders and enjoy the slides. Miles Park, Cloverdale is a local suburban park and a little gem. There’s a decent traditional sand based park which features swings, a slide and climbing structure. Walk around to the other side of the community centre and you will find a recently constructed, fully fenced and shaded, toddler playground. This features soft fall ground, a basket swing, musical elements, a play structure and slide. My girls love racing around this little park. Tucked away in a quiet street in Queens Park is Serisier Parkway playground. It is a fully fenced playground with two gate entries. Lake Vasto Playground is a popular spot at Ozone Reserve in East Perth. A large gazebo makes it a top location for big family picnics and group gatherings if the weather is looking a bit iffy. Clarkson Reserve, Maylands   Clarkson Reserve is a hidden gem in the leafy suburb of Maylands. It features a small nature playground, bike and scooter paths and gorgeous river views. On arriving, Miss 4 raced to the play area. This is mostly sand-based and features wooden balancing beams and flat logs to hop across. Vellgrove Reserve is a simple yet entertaining park located in Middle Swan. We discovered this quiet, colourful playground after making a wrong turn. My little girl was in love with the colourful stepping logs, so we had to stop for a play. The playground consists of 3 main structures: a wooden swing set, blocks of colourful stepping logs and a rock climbing frame with a slide on the other side. Grand Promenade Reserve, Bedford    Grand Promenade Reserve is a leafy park in the City of Bayswater. It has a great sand-based playground with a mixture of equipment for a range of ages. If your child likes to climb, they’ll likely enjoy this playground. With ladders, a rope web and a small climbing wall, as well as a balancing beam course, there is lots to exercise little muscles. Neil McDougall Park is a leafy park with a great playground for kids of all ages in the heart of Como. The first thing that grabbed Miss 3’s attention when we arrived here was the flying fox.
