The Veterans Memorial Park Port Kennedy has something to suit the whole family, from tiny tots to teens! The large park includes two playgrounds, the new-ish Port Kennedy skate park and a memorial dedicated to our war veterans. The city of Rockingham’s largest skate park features lots of trails, bowls, ramps and an adjacent snake run. Though it’s very popular it’s large enough to ensure plenty of room. Fishmarket Reserve in Guildford is one of those classic Swan River picnic spots. It’s set right on the river, with the Guildford Boat Ramp nearby, which is suitable for launching small boats, kayaks and canoes. The impressive $1.5m The Edge Skatepark Calista is one of WA’s biggest skating facilities. The skatepark’s main features are a competition-level bowl, street section, beginner’s area (great for little ones on scooters), parkour obstacles and a basketball half-court. Skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes and even rollerblades are welcome. The big skate park is large enough to still ensure plenty of room to ride. Found in the heart of the Avon Valley, Beverley has a fun playground that awaits visiting families and kids of all ages. The country town has recently unveiled its new playground at Moort Wabiny Park adding a touch of adventure to this charming community. Kids of every age will find something fun here. Set in reclaimed parkland alongside Railway Street in Cottesloe, you can find a one of Perth’s newest nature playgrounds, East Cottesloe Nature Play Trail. Including a scooter track, a fenced toddler park and wooden climbing equipment, this nature playground has something to suit kids from tiny tots to teens.  Opening in September 2023, this new nature trail replaces an older pre-existing playground, known as the Purple Dinosaur Park.
