Les Lilleyman Reserve, North Perth Les Lilleyman Reserve in North Perth features a fenced playground surrounded by shady trees. Tucked away under the trees, this playground features swings, climbing equipment and nature play elements the kids will love! Les Lilleyman Reserve offers something for everyone. To begin with, there are two swings. One is a regular swing, the other is a mobility swing with a harness. My Miss 8 was busting to get on these when we arrived! Adjacent to this, there is a wooden climbing frame with a tube slide. To access the slide, children have multiple climbing Read more…

Brabham has recently added a new park to Ariella estate, Ariella Adventure Park, and it’s absolutely delightful. There is a walking trail so make sure you bring along your kid’s bikes or scooters. Also, there is a large open grass area for the kids to run around and kick a footy. Nature Read more…

Just around the corner from the Alexander Heights IGA, is Lemongrass Park, a lovely shaded playground with traditional equipment and some nature play elements. One of the main features that caught our eye was the rope equipment. The curved slide has a rope web to climb up instead of stairs, and there are various rope webs or swinging ropes with a balancing rope below to cross. Miss 3 enjoyed having a go on all of these. Attached the rope structure is a small rock climbing wall, shaped like a sail, to go up and over. Nearby in the sandpit is Read more…

Holland Park in Piara Waters is yet another brilliant playground in the popular family suburb. There’s lots of elements packed into this park including nature play, as well as a fun fort! The wooden play equipment is built on woodchip, giving the space a rustic vibe and there’s a sandpit too. Let’s explore… The main attraction is a wooden fort, with balancing ropes and logs to scale to the top. Little Chef particularly liked the climbing ropes and logs up to the fort. This may be a little difficult for younger children, who may need a helping hand. There’s a Read more…

The UFO-inspired Bob Gordon Reserve Play Space is out-of-this-world fun! The fully fenced playground features everything from UFOs, swings, flying foxes, slides, and water play to all the essentials like toilets, BBQs, picnic shelters, shade and ample parking. The main feature and the inspiration for the playground is the replica of the old Leach Highway Spaceship, Futuro House, which I’m sure parents and grandparents from the 70s and 80s will remember fondly! The new Futuro features a small slide, fireman pole and is fully wheelchair accessible. Inside, you’ll find control panels, speaking tubes, finger mazes, and alien noughts and crosses. Read more…
