Kids love a good scooter and bike park! Children get to practise their riding in a safe environment. Many have great features such as simulated roads with stop signs and petrol pumps. Great for imaginative play! Plus you can start teaching some bike safety skills. Others are more challenging with pump tracks and jumps.

Rendell Park features a scooter and bike track in a similar style to Shepherds Bush Park, with the track laid out like a mini road with little street signs and a roundabout. Neil Hawkins Park in Joondalup is a park more suited to the under 5โs. The playground is partially enclosed and is quite compact and easy to keep track of little ones. It features play equipment in the guise of a train engine and its carriages with each carriage providing a different feature. The train engine houses a small slide which is great for crawlers and early walkers. Herdsman Lake Regional Park is a great location for a family walk, play and picnic. There are 2 playgrounds around the lake, one at Glendalough Open Space and the other at Popeye Lake Parkland. Glendalough Open Space is a lovely little play area with parking directly next to it off the main road access. ย This area has swings, seesaw, flying fox, slides and numerous climbing frames to entertain kids of all ages. Clarkson Reserve, Maylands Clarkson Reserve is a hidden gem in the leafy suburb of Maylands. It features a small nature playground, bike and scooter paths and gorgeous river views. On arriving, Miss 4 raced to the play area. This is mostly sand-based and features wooden balancing beams and flat logs to hop across. The City of Belmont has a very cool new edition a Forster Park – a bike pump track! Thereโs the regular pump track circuit and then there are some pretty large jumps. This is so much fun – even just watching is very entertaining. Only bikes with air-filled tyres are allowed on the track as scooters and plastic wheeled toys can damage it. Mirror Park in Ocean Reef is a large oval field and play area consisting of a playground suitable for toddlers, a skate park and toilet block. The Northern Suburbs have given us yet another fantastic park!ย At theย Ambertonย Estate in Eglington, youโll find theย newย parkย Heath Parkย also known asย theย Ambertonย Scooter Parkย and Pirate Playground. Strive Park, Girrawheen Strive Park is a small park located in the Blackmore Park Estate, in Girrawheen. The playground here features nature play elements, some traditional play elements, and a bike and scooter track. It’s sure to be a hit with the kids! Dianella BMX Track As of July 2021, Dianella Regional Open Space now features a stunning new BMX track. Dianella BMX Track is naturally shaded and the perfect spot for kids of all ages to race off some energy. Stage One and Stage Two of the new track, built by City of Stirling, was completed in July.
