Perth’s café culture, offers more than just good coffee. Loved by kids and adults alike, a creamy, sweet hot chocolate is a perfect treat – especially in winter. A hot chocolate shouldn’t be too sweet, and of course – there MUST be marshmallows! We’ve put together a roundup of some of the best hot chocolates in Perth, and its surrounds.

The Foundry in Midland

The Foundry is a newcomer to Midland. The cafe’s extra special Nutella hot chocolate is a standout. The drink is topped with a sprinkle of cocoa, creating a decadent drink with every sip. Perfect for a cold day, The Foundry’s hot chocolate will warm you from the inside out. They have a kids menu, highchairs and plenty of room for prams. See more in the Buggybuddys review.

Chocolate Drops Tearooms in Yanchep National Park

Cafe Elixir in Wanneroo

One of our favourites, Cafe Elixir is known for its excellent coffee, food and friendly service. Their hot chocolate is a crowd favorite, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and richness. It’s a comforting treat that pairs wonderfully with their yummy selection of cakes or epic pancakes! See more in the Buggybuddys review.

Gemini Cafe, Perth CBD

Gemini Café has got to have Perth’s most Instagram-able food, AND Perth’s fanciest hot chocolate! If you’re in the city with kids and looking for a spot to caffeinate and keep the kids amused, Gemini Café is a cute spot to check out. Found close to London Court, at the base of the St Georges Terrace skyscrapers, this little café is a firm favourite with the insta / tik tok crowd. Their S’MORES hot chocolate has got to be tried and is here for a limited time! See more in the Buggybuddys review.

The Bickley Valley is found 5 minutes drive from the heart of Kalamunda, and it feels like the countryside. My Hungry Bear Cafe, Butler

My Hungry Bear Cafe the Lukin Shopping Centre is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere. Their hot chocolate is a favourite. In fact, it’s the best that Kellie aka Perth Mum Adventures has had! Southern Forests Chocolate Company, near Pemberton

Not found in Perth, but my personal favourite. You have got to try a REAL Southern Forests Chocolate Company Pemberton hot chocolate! Choose from white chocolate, milk chocolate or 70%. My son ordered a white-hot chocolate and he declared it the best hot chocolate ever! It was delicious, while not being sickly sweet. The drink is thick, velvety, and packed with chocolate flavour, making it a perfect companion to the peaceful, forested surroundings of Pemberton. See more in the Buggybuddys review.
