Lake Monger Reserve is a fantastic destination for a family walk in Perth with kids of all ages. There are a few parking spots around Lake Monger Reserve, 3 of which are on Lake Monger Drive.  If you use the car park nearest St Vincents Avenue you’ll see a wishing well and the largest playground in the reserve. Richard Aldersea Park is situated among the leafy streets of Clarkson, just behind Clarkson Primary School. Little Miss and I discovered it while out for a drive, and found its suitable for a range of ages and abilities, from toddlers upwards. The main play structure has two slides, and lots to climb. In amongst all the shiny office buildings in West Perth is Totterdell Park. The leafy inner city park is made up of a  soft fall play area with a large metal  play frame that features two slides, “shop” window, climbing  nets, ramps, monkey bars, a  climbing wall and more.  There is also a see-saw and fun nest swing too. What started as a family day out at Hamelin Bay, ended at the small seaside town after a trip to the Augusta Hospital (gotta love a fishhook in the leg!). At our weekly shop on Saturday we were very excited to see that Floreat Forum shopping centre has just opened a new playground in the outdoor area by the cafes/restaurants. Previously there had just been a couple of small things for toddlers to play on but now there is a proper playground complete with shade sails.
