Bush Shack Brewery

The popular Bunbury pizza joint, Last Slice, has hit the suburb of Dalyellup. Just a stone’s throw away from Bunbury, 30 seconds drive from Bussell Highway, it makes a good stop if staying in the area, or on a drive to Margaret River. It’s just behind the popular kid’s indoor playground “Gravity” too. This buzzing family-friendly restaurant and bar offers up giant New York style pizzas, and plenty to keep the kids occupied.

Their pizzas, boasting generous portions as found in the Big Apple, are sure to get pizza lovers young and old excited. From classic Margheritas to extravagant meat lover’s creations, and even something for the veggie lovers, there’s a slice to satisfy every craving and taste. The giant 22″ pizzas feed 2 or 3 hungry adults. This “sausage fest” came topped with pepperoni, spicy sausage and chorizo, plus a garlic aoli and cheese.

Not into pizza? Last Slice has a casual pub-style menu featuring shares, burgers, parmis, salads, tacos, and much more. I really enjoyed the crispy cauliflower and BBQ lamb tacos.

Last Slice provides a welcoming environment for families. The restaurant’s additions for kids, such as a corner equipped with toys and tablets, keeps children happily entertained while parents enjoy their meals.

There’s plenty for toddlers and children to do. Not surprisingly, the tablets proved popular. It might be worth noting I noticed a couple of kids on Roblox, if you have kids that usually aren’t allowed to play this, or have limited access. I didn’t see what other apps and games were downloaded on the tablets.

A climbing frame awaits adventurous kids just outside the restaurant, providing a space for them to burn off energy, while parents can watch from the nearby courtyard.

A dedicated kids’ menu ensures that even the littlest diners are catered for. On the kid’s menu there’s 3 choices (Mac and cheese, fish and chips, plus chicken tenders and chips), though surprisingly no pizza! I suppose most families would share a pizza, though this may be difficult if you have a child that is fussy with their topping choice. The meals come with a juice box.

Sports enthusiasts will feel right at home at Last Slice, where multiple TVs broadcast live games and matches. I enjoyed the comfy booths. It can get quite loud inside, but we visited on a Friday night in the school holidays, so most likely peak time!

If you have room, indulge in the irresistible serve-yourself desserts. From creamy vanilla and chocolate soft serve, and a choice of 5 toppings, including smarties and cheerios, there’s a combo to satisfy every sweet tooth.

Last Slice in Dalyellup is a tasty destination in the south west. Whether you’re craving a slice of New York-style pizza or seeking an easy dinner with kids in tow, Last Slice delivers.
