When you dine out with kids, it’s often a treat for them as much as you, so you can let a few chicken nuggets or a burger slide. What we do find is many restaurants and cafes simply don’t have an healthy option for kids, not allowing you or them to make a choice of something more nutritionally balanced. Luckily, there are some brilliant Perth venues where the Chefs put as much thought into the little kids menus as for the adults, aa well as restaurants that have an all-round heathy offering for the entire family. See our guide to cafes with healthy kid’s menus in Perth here…

The kids menu at Vans is particularly good, with fresh options and quality produce used. Choose from spaghetti, lamb lollypops, steak, mash and veggies – plus more! Little Chef wolfed down the tasty fish and chips. Serving sticks of carrot, capsicum and avocado on the side is a brilliant idea. Little Chef loved this and much preferred it to a traditional side salad, which often goes untouched. Read the Buggybuddys review here.
