When heading on a family trip to WA’s glorious South West, no doubt you have your favourite kid-friendly places to stop along the way. Here’s another to add to your list… Treendale Farm Hotel! Affectionately known as “The Farm”, this mega pub has not one, but THREE kid’s play areas.
Found in the Treendale area of Australind, just north of Bunbury, this new-ish pub is fab for families. The rustic brickwork gives the new build plenty of character and it’s a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a bite to eat in the grassy beer garden.
Inside, there is a large, lofty open dining room, with a fenced and gated kids’ play area. The jungle gym-style equipment is perfect for toddlers and young children, especially on chilly evenings or rainy days.

Outside, the fenced beer garden features a further two play areas. One covered, with soft play equipment, is suited to little ones.
The main soft-fall fenced and gated play area features a boat, a wooden windmill play fort with a slide, fireman’s pole and more to explore.
“The Farm” is the perfect place to grab a meal with kids in tow. For the adults, there are plenty of wines and drinks to pick from, including a whopping 48 beer taps, so you can enjoy your favourite Margaret River craft beer.
On the menu, you’ll find a whole host of pub favourites, steak, pizza, plus weeknight specials. I had the delicious, pan-fried salmon. The food offering here is much better quality than your average pub grub.

For the kids, there’s plenty of choice -10 choices in fact. It may even be the biggest kids’ menu I have ever seen! Perfect for fussy eaters and those with allergies. Little Chef wasn’t with me on this occasion, but I can see from the sheer number of families here, that it’s a firm favourite with both locals and visitors to the region.
High chairs and a baby change area are also available.
It’s so refreshing to find a pub that does quality food and vibes so well, PLUS it is kid-friendly. Swing by to “The Farm” on your next southwest road trip!
