The water playground at Whiteman Park has recently reopened after a major refurbishment and it’s looking fabulous! New shaded areas have been added along with pool sun loungers so you can pretend to be on vacation! Port Coogee Marina is a gorgeous spot for families to relax and enjoy one of Perth’s gorgeous summer days. Situated within the Allura Estate in Eglinton, in the northern suburbs, is Kinkuna Adventure Playground. This large playground with a mix of nature play, water play and traditional play equipment has something for everyone to enjoy. The Elizabeth Water Park is an interactive water feature located at Elizabeth Quay, which at 1000 square metres is over three times the size of the Water Labyrinth in Forrest Place. The Rainbow Waters Playground is located opposite the library in Ellenbrook. It is an award-winning free to use water park and was one of the first water parks in Perth to use the splash pad surface. The water park incorporates ‘innovative, environmental and sustainable elements, while also providing an attractive and creative playspace’. Hyde Park water playground is a fantastic spot to go and cool off in those warmer months. The water park has recently undergone an upgrade and now has new shade sails installed over the entire splash pad area. There is plenty of shade around the park also due to the large trees that are scattered all around. We visited Christmas eve and were expecting it to be really busy, but we were quite surprised as we managed to find a lovely spot under a tree (right near the splash pad) and have a picnic lunch.
