The Buggybuddys Guide to Water Playgrounds in Perth
The guide includes Water Playgrounds around Perth. Find a “water park near me” using our interactive Google map. Most water parks Perth close during the summer months, so check the individual websites or Facebook pages for opening times and prices.
A number of swim centres have water playgrounds available, and are sure to delight your water babies! Head along to swim centres such as HBF Arena, City of Joondalup’s Craigie Leisure Centre for example.
On the other hand, there are many awesome free water playgrounds also available. BHP Billiton Water Park at Elizabeth Quay has a fabulous free water playground, as does Yagan Square Playspace. Great if you’re in the city.
Likewise, further from the CBD, Rainbow Waters Playground in Ellenbrook, Port Coogee Marina, and Kinkuna Adventure Playground have free to use water playgrounds kids will love. Plus, there are many more around Perth. Just check out our list! 😉

On a recent road trip, we took a detour through Northam, the detour was originally to check out the Northam Suspension Bridge, which is one of the longest pedestrian bridges in Australia. After crossing the bridge, which was well worth the visit (until the kids thought it was fun to make it sway), we discovered Bernard Park which features two fully fenced play areas, a water playground, sculptures, amphitheatre, picnic and BBQ facilities and public toilets. Hyde Park water playground is a fantastic spot to go and cool off in those warmer months. The water park has recently undergone an upgrade and now has new shade sails installed over the entire splash pad area. There is plenty of shade around the park also due to the large trees that are scattered all around. We visited Christmas eve and were expecting it to be really busy, but we were quite surprised as we managed to find a lovely spot under a tree (right near the splash pad) and have a picnic lunch.
