At our weekly shop on Saturday we were very excited to see that Floreat Forum shopping centre has just opened a new playground in the outdoor area by the cafes/restaurants. The location borders on Lake Joondalup and is very peaceful and pretty with birdlife and clusters of shady trees. Pine Park is a hidden gem in Darlington, in the Perth Hills. I grew up in the hills and my parents still live there. On today’s visit we thought we’d try somewhere different to the usual park. Morris Mundy Reserve is a lovely reserve in Kensington with basketball and netball hoop, cricket wickets, football goals, large green oval, picnic tables and a new shaded playground. The reserve backs onto houses on three sides although not fully fenced is fairly safe as it’s a long way between the playground equipment and the road.
