If you visited Fremantle as a child, you may remember a very special shop, found down a little laneway… The Pickled Fairy and Other Myths! It’s been around for about 30 years now and I very much remember going there when I was about 10 years old, and thinking what a magical spot it was. Well, it still is!
The whimsical gift shop is an Aladdin’s cave for little fairy lovers, with many gorgeous mythical inspired gifts and so many dress ups! Little ones will be tickled pink to meet a fairy in person.
There’s a colouring corner too.
And The Pickled Fairy isn’t just for girls! It’s very inclusive, with many bits and bobs for boys, mainly with wizard, dragon and pirate themes.
If your child loves The Pickled Fairy – they may even like to hold a birthday party in the special party room. There are a few different options for kids of all ages.
From fairy dance party, mermaid parties, frozen parties, to a teddy bears picnic, or perhaps an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party is more your style? There’s lots of themes to choose from. All parties include invitations, a plate of food for each child, juice, birthday cake and a little present for each guest.
Next time you’re in Freo with little fairy fans, be sure to take them to The Pickled Fairy and Other Myths, Fremantle!
