The water playground at Whiteman Park has recently reopened after a major refurbishment and it’s looking fabulous! The UFO-inspired Bob Gordon Reserve Play Space is out-of-this-world fun! The fully fenced playground features everything from UFOs, swings, flying foxes, slides, and water play to all the essentials like toilets, BBQs, picnic shelters, shade and ample parking. The main feature and the inspiration for the playground is the replica of the old Leach Highway Spaceship, Futuro House, which I’m sure parents and grandparents from the 70s and 80s will remember fondly! The popular Mills Park facility has recently opened a new all-abilities playground near the bbqs and grassed area. This new edition to the existing Mills Park Playspace and Skate Plaza is fully fenced and double gated which is also great for younger children. A good amount of the enclosed playground area is covered by shade sails and there are also a few seating options for parents too. Perth’s newest beachside playground, Capricorn Beach Foreshore Adventure Playground, is now open. The FUNtastic ocean-themed playground is perfect for kids of all ages and is located just minutes away from the Yanchep Lagoon. Treehouse Cove Playground is Golden Bay’s newest playground. The treehouse-inspired playground opened in July 2022 and features nature-based play elements, slides, seesaws, a toddler play space, lots of open turf areas and picnic and BBQ facilities.
