Sunday Kids Workshops โ€“ Perth Observatory

Perth Observatoryโ€™s Sunday Kids Workshops are creative, spaceโ€‘themed art sessions that blend handsโ€‘on making with real astronomy. Run in partnership with Supernova Studios and led by an astronomy guide, kids work on two main projects: a colourful โ€œfluid artโ€ astronaut canvas and a 3D handโ€‘painted moon lamp they can take home. Alongside the crafting, volunteers share stories about the Observatoryโ€™s history and fun facts about space, stars and the Moon, making it a relaxed way for children and their adults to explore science together. Workshops run on select Sundays through the year and are ideal for primaryโ€‘aged kids who enjoy both art and science, as well as parents looking for a special oneโ€‘onโ€‘one outing.
