If you’re looking a unique family getaway close to Perth, Heyscape’s tiny cabin Ashleigh in Toodyay is the perfect choice. Just an hour’s drive from the city, this cosy tiny cabin offers a refreshing escape from the everyday grind. I recently stayed two nights with my three kids, it was the perfect opportunity to unplug and reconnect as a family.
Nestled on a sprawling 500-hectare farm, the tiny cabin is surprisingly spacious and incredibly homely. With a large queen bed and bunk beds, despite being a tiny cabin there’s plenty of room for everyone to stretch out. We loved waking up to the gentle sounds of the countryside and the stunning views of rolling hills right outside our giant window.
Our stay was filled with family fun. We brought our bikes and had a blast riding around the farm, splashing in puddles, and taking in the picturesque scenery. The cabin’s hammock was perfect for stargazing and snuggling together, and we had a great time playing the variety of board games available in the cabin.
During our winter visit, the fire pit was a highlight. Toasting marshmallows by the fire made for some unforgettable family memories. Firewood, highlighters & matches were all provided, making it easy to set up the perfect fire.
The tiny cabin is eco-friendly, with an off-grid power supply and green amenities. From solar-powered lights to a composting toilet, it promotes mindful living. Despite its compact size, it’s equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, a kitchenette, and a lovely bathroom.
Inside, you’ll find a queen-sized bed with premium linen, two bunk beds, a fridge, essential cookware, USB-A charging ports, classic games, eco-friendly hand and body wash, and premium towels.
Outside, there’s an outdoor BBQ and dining area, outdoor games, and a hammock for relaxation.
The cabin offers a gateway for both adventure and relaxation. Despite there being three other cabins on the site, we didn’t run into anyone else apart from the resident sheep!
