Buggybuddys guide to Perth City Playgrounds! Here is our guide of the best playgrounds and parks in the City of Perth. Our guide includes water parks, playgrounds, parks and an up-to-date list of all the events happening in Perth.
Elizabeth Quay
Perth City has some of the most amazing play areas for kids! Explore beautiful Elizabeth Quay. Pack a towel and some swimmers and splash around in the free BHP Billiton Water Park. Enjoy some pirate themed play at Isle of Voyage, packed with nature play and great for little climbers! Take some spare change and enjoy a ride on the vintage carousel or stop and grab an ice cream.
Kings Park
Head to Kings Park and explore the many playgrounds this huge inner city park has to offer! Little ones will love Ivey Watson Playground. Located next door to Stickybeaks Cafe, this playground has lots to keep kids of all ages busy.
Pack a towel and spare clothes, and be prepared to get wet in the Rio Tinto Naturescape. This is not your typical playground. Naturescape is a nature play dream, giving kids an important chance to get grubby, climb, build with sticks and explore the natural world.
Likewise, you can stop at the Variety Place Playground on Saw Avenue. This is a beautifully designed play area incorporates the bush, wood, rock and other pieces of nature. This is another great spot for kids to climb and explore!
Forrest Place and Yagan Square
Have fun in Forrest Place or Yagan Square! No longer can you venture into the City of Perth to do a spot of shopping with the kids in tow and expect them to stay dry. Kids will love the Water Labyrinth Playground in Forrest Place.
Yagan Square playground is non-sand based and is designed to celebrate the geological and rock formations found across regional Western Australia. It’s packed with mountains and climbing ropes, slides and tunnels. The biggest highlight is the water play, especially on a hot day. Make sure you pack a change of clothes and a towel, just in case!
Perth City is packed with all these and more!
