The water playground at Whiteman Park has recently reopened after a major refurbishment and it’s looking fabulous! New shaded areas have been added along with pool sun loungers so you can pretend to be on  vacation!  The 30cm deep water playground is free to use and is open 10.00am to 5.00pm every day from late September until the end of April school holidays each year (weather and permits permitting) and is a great place to cool off during the hot summer months. There is so much to see and do at Caversham Wildlife Park! Feed the kangaroos, see the penguins being fed, gets photos with a koala, meet a wombat, possum, python and many more at the interactive meet & greet, play with the goats, join in the Farm Show (have you ever milked a cow before?!), and so much more! The Village West Playground at Whiteman Park has undergone a complete reconstruction with all new play equipment and shade sails. It’s a perfect park for summer days with almost the entire park covered by shade.  It is still fully fenced with only one open entrance near the picnic tables. There are three main play equipment areas surrounded by a soft fall walkway which is painted with train tracks and great for little ones pretending to be a train. Whiteman Park Dog Park is a little known secret among the dog community The fully fenced and grassed 2.5-hectare playground has a doggie obstacle course and plenty of natural shade from mature trees. There’s even a separate enclosure for smaller dog breeds. There’s a 500m walkway around the circumference of the park so you can exercise yourself as well as your friend. Water taps and troughs are also available inside each enclosure.  You can park yourself on one of the many benches provided whilst your dog enjoys the company of others.
