The Buggybuddys Guide to Water Parks with Free Entry in Perth
The guide includes Splash play areas and Swimming Pools with Free Entry. Find a “water park near me” using our interactive Google map. Most water parks Perth close during the summer months, so check the individual websites or Facebook pages for opening times.
Around Perth, there are a number of free to use splash pads or pools available. Pack a towel and a change of clothes, because kids won’t be able to resist! For example, Hyde Park, Elizabeth Quay and Yagan Square in the city all have free to use water features available. Similarly, further afield, so does Kinkuna Adventure Playground and Kwinana Adventure Park, and many more.
For deeper splashing, head to Whiteman Park’s free swimming pool. This is great for younger children. It features shaded seating areas and water sprayers in the pool.

The water playground at Whiteman Park has recently reopened after a major refurbishment and it’s looking fabulous! New shaded areas have been added along with pool sun loungers so you can pretend to be on vacation! Forrest Place Perth Water Labyrinth – no longer can you venture into the City of Perth to do a spot of shopping with the kids in tow and expect them to stay dry. In the centre of Forrest Place you will find the water Labyrinth Fountain and it’s fabulous fun! The $1.3 million water sculpture at Forrest place is the work of Danish artist Jeppe Hein. The Rainbow Waters Playground is located opposite the library in Ellenbrook. It is an award-winning free to use water park and was one of the first water parks in Perth to use the splash pad surface. The water park incorporates ‘innovative, environmental and sustainable elements, while also providing an attractive and creative playspace’. The water park is closed in the cooler months and re-opens September until May daily from 9.00am – 7.00pm. The Bibra Lake Regional Playground is packed with unique features designed to promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity for people of all ages and abilities. You’ll find a double flying fox that includes rubber path access to the landing and a hoist seat with a seat belt was very popular. Cockburn Central Water Playground – On the Success side of the Cockburn Central train station, there is a fantastic water playground and large grassy area. Port Coogee Marina is a gorgeous spot for families to relax and enjoy one of Perth’s gorgeous summer days. Nestled in the Port Coogee estate, the marina area offers a pram friendly, sheltered beach with calm waters – perfect for a paddle in. Hyde Park water playground is a fantastic spot to go and cool off in those warmer months. The water park has recently undergone an upgrade and now has new shade sails installed over the entire splash pad area. There is plenty of shade around the park also due to the large trees that are scattered all around. We visited Christmas eve and were expecting it to be really busy, but we were quite surprised as we managed to find a lovely spot under a tree (right near the splash pad) and have a picnic lunch. Situated within the Allura Estate in Eglinton, in the northern suburbs, is Kinkuna Adventure Playground. This large playground with a mix of nature play, water play and traditional play equipment has something for everyone to enjoy. Kinkuna Adventure Playground features a series of big wooden towers interconnected with ladders, climbing ropes, a tunnel and a rope bridge. There are two slides of different sizes. The Elizabeth Water Park is an interactive water feature located at Elizabeth Quay, which at 1000 square metres is over three times the size of the Water Labyrinth in Forrest Place. The Water Park is located right opposite the Elizabeth Quay train station so it is easily accessible via public transport.
