The impressive $1.5m The Edge Skatepark Calista is one of WA’s biggest skating facilities. The skatepark’s main features are a competition-level bowl, street section, beginner’s area (great for little ones on scooters), parkour obstacles and a basketball half-court. Skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes and even rollerblades are welcome. The big skate park is large enough to still ensure plenty of room to ride. Churchill Park is the lovely green park that you’ll find running along the Rockingham Foreshore. There’s a long strip of playgrounds, shaded by mature trees, all found within easy walking distance of each other. The traditional style metal play equipment (on sand) has plenty of features to keep kids entertained, with slides, climbing walls, monkey bars, a fireman’s pole and more. There is a new and exciting Pirate Playground has opened at Rockingham foreshore. The wooden Pirate Ship is situated at the far end of foreshore and is a very welcome addition! The pirate ship is set amongst trees and has views out to the ocean, a great location to get children’s imagination and play going.
