Stirk Park was a favourite of mine, back in the 1980s when I was a kid growing up in the Perth Hills. The park is a popular location in the Kalamunda area for mothers group get-togethers and family picnics as there is lots of open space. The large grassy areas are perfect for ball games and the pretty, mature trees provide plenty of natural shade. The playground at Stirk Park is set on a mix of sand, grass and soft fall surfaces. The park is suitable for kids of all ages, though there is an unfenced lake and stream nearby, so be mindful of toddlers playing in the area.
