Croc's Playcentre, Joondalup

Crocโ€™s Playcentre Joondalup is a bright, modern indoor play centre conveniently located near Bunnings in Joondalup. As one of WAโ€™s Crocโ€™s venues, it has that familiar colourful Crocโ€™s feel and includes an in-house Muffin Break cafรฉ, so parents can enjoy decent coffee and a good range of food while the kids play.

For the youngest visitors, there is a small baby area designed for children up to 18 months. This space is simple but age-appropriate, with soft foam blocks, a foam rocker and a wall-mounted maze game to encourage little hands to explore. Itโ€™s a good spot for babies to have a wriggle and practice their gross motor skills away from the bigger kids.

Toddlers under four have their own fully fenced zone, which feels much more adventurous while still being contained and manageable. This toddler space features a small bouncy castle and a multilevel pirate ship climbing structure complete with spiral slide. The pirate theme is a big hit with little imaginations, and the soft play surfaces mean they can climb and slide with confidence.

In the main play area, older and more confident kids are spoilt for choice. Thereโ€™s a larger bouncy castle with a slide, plus an impressive three-level climbing structure packed with rope bridges, tunnels, and obstacles on every level. The entire Playground is padded for safety, and youโ€™ll spot little ride-on bikes for kids to pedal around the play frame, adding another layer of fun and movement.

The standout attractions are the big slides. A four-lane speed slide is perfect for siblings or friends to race side by side, while the two-lane drop slide is strictly for the brave! These slides are a real drawcard for school-aged kids and are likely to be where they spend most of their time.

Hidden within the structure is a rock climbing wall and a trampoline, giving older children extra challenges beyond the usual climbing nets and slides.

Another popular area is the ball blaster zone. Here kids can collect soft balls to load into a central ball fountain, tipping baskets and air cannons.

There are also ball guns positioned on the levels above so children can aim and fire into the play zone below. Itโ€™s noisy, energetic and endlessly entertaining for kids who love a bit of friendly chaos.

For something a little different, Crocโ€™s Joondalup also has an electric kart track. For an additional fee, kids can hop into a small electric car and zoom around the mini track. Children under six need an accompanying adult, but even younger drivers can usually manage the controls with a bit of help. Each ride lasts a few minutes and, if you donโ€™t have coins, staff at the cafรฉ are happy to provide change or cash out.

Crocโ€™s Joondalup is well set up for birthday parties and special occasions. There are four themed party rooms โ€“ disco, pirate, princess and jungle โ€“ offering options for a variety of interests and ages. Families can also book a baking party where kids get hands-on in the Muffin Break kitchen, making their own pizza and decorating cookies, which is a great option for children who enjoy cooking and craft-style activities. For bigger celebrations or group events, private venue hire is available from early evening, allowing exclusive access to the play areas.

The onsite Muffin Break cafรฉ serves a wide range of food and drinks, from barista-made coffee and muffins through to light lunches and kid-friendly options. As with all Crocโ€™s centres, no outside food or drink is permitted, with the exception of baby food and childrenโ€™s drink bottles. This keeps the venue clean and allergy-aware, and the menu is broad enough that most families will find something suitable.

Practicalities are well covered. Socks must be worn at all times in the play areas and are strongly recommended to have grips, as the polished concrete floors can be a little slippery.Between the dedicated baby and toddler zones, the thrilling slides and ball blasters for bigger kids, and the convenience of an on-site cafรฉ and party options, Crocโ€™s Playcentre Joondalup makes an easy, all-weather outing for families in Perthโ€™s northern suburbs.
