If you’re looking for a family-friendly venue in Perth that ticks all the boxes, great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and somewhere the kids can play while you enjoy your meal, Brabham Hotel deserves a spot on your list.
We stopped by for a late lunch and early dinner, and after just one visit, we think we’ve found our new local. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the modern design and welcoming atmosphere. The venue is spacious and has been thoughtfully designed to cater for everyone, from young families to groups of friends and couples looking for a relaxed meal. The team was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.

There’s also a lovely story behind the venue’s name. Brabham Hotel is inspired by the suburb’s namesake, 1950s racing legend Sir Jack Brabham, giving the pub a real sense of character and community identity from the outset.

Dining out with children can sometimes be a challenge, but Brabham Hotel has made it genuinely easy. Harvey had an absolute ball exploring the Playground while we sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed our meal. Having a dedicated play area makes such a difference, allowing parents to actually enjoy a conversation while the kids stay entertained.

What really stood out to us was just how much thought has gone into creating the outdoor family space.

The beer garden features a fantastic Playground for the kids, giving little ones plenty of room to run, climb, and burn off energy while you relax.

There are also two large TVs overlooking the play area, so you can keep an eye on the kids while still catching the game. No more missing the big moments!

For those cooler Perth evenings, outdoor heaters keep things cosy, while large umbrellas provide plenty of shade during the warmer parts of the day.

And if the weather turns? A retractable roof means the space is comfortable all year round, rain or shine.
It’s these thoughtful additions that really elevate the experience and make Brabham Hotel feel like a venue you’ll want to return to again and again.
The menu serves up familiar favourites, pub classics, and plenty of share plates, with something for everyone. Our meals were fresh, generous in size, and full of flavour. There are also some great weekly specials to look forward to, including Parmi Day on Wednesdays, Steak Thursdays, Sunday Roast, and Happy Hour Monday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm.

For families in particular, Sundays are something special. Every week Brabham Hotel runs Kids Club, a free weekly kids entertainment series featuring a rotating lineup of fun including face painting, balloon twisting, and more, running from 12pm to 3pm. On top of that, they hold monthly themed Family Days with even bigger entertainment, with upcoming themes including Space, Dinosaur, Candy Land, and Under the Sea. Bookings are recommended for Sundays as they fill up quickly.

Sports fans are also well looked after, with big screens throughout the venue showing all the live action. And if you fancy a bit of midweek fun, trivia nights are also on the calendar, so it’s worth keeping an eye on their What’s On page for upcoming events.

Planning a celebration or work event? Brabham Hotel has a dedicated private function room, and their friendly events team can help you put together the perfect occasion, whether it’s an intimate dinner, a milestone birthday, or a corporate gathering. Gift vouchers are also available if you’re looking for a great present idea, and regular visitors can earn points and perks through The Pass loyalty app.

Brabham Hotel has created more than just another pub. It’s a genuine community venue where families can relax, friends can catch up, and everyone feels welcome. With delicious food, excellent service, a fantastic Playground, and a beautifully designed outdoor area that works in all weather, it’s easy to see why it’s fast becoming a favourite for locals. It might just become your new local too.
