The colourful Sensory Monsters Playground offers inclusive climbing, textures and imaginative play, with two tube slides (one smaller for little ones), water and sand play, swings and a shady nature play corner with cubbies and a mini “theatre” front. Right next door, the Lotterywest Bike and Skate Hubs feature a skate park plus pump and jump track for scooters, bikes and boards, alongside a multipurpose court for shooting hoops. The Roller Disco Plaza is now open too, adding a fun music‑filled skating space with a disco‑style vibe. Perth’s newest inner‑city Playground, Wellington Square Playground, has a native banksia plant theme that can be spotted throughout the vast, vibrant play space. This Playground has EVERYTHING – water play, a scooter track, flying foxes, basketball, lots of climbing and swings, as well as huge slides. It’s definitely one of the very best parks in Perth!

Kings Park is home to not one, but several massive play areas that each offer a different experience.
Head to Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park for the ultimate nature play adventure. Kids can explore aerial walkways known as “The Python”, climb ropes, scramble through tunnels and cool off paddling in the water.

May Drive Parkland (formerly Synergy Parkland) features a 75m‑long elevated walkway, a two‑tiered island fort, large‑scale replicas of dinosaurs and extinct Australian fauna, a timber boardwalk and an interactive water misting forest – a must‑visit for any dinosaur fan.

Younger children will love playing make‑believe at the Ivey Watson Playground, which has a ship, fire engine and even a castle complete with throne.
