Kalamunda favourite, Elevated Grounds Coffee House, is found on the main street of this Perth Hills town. The popular cafe is both kid and dog friendly. Plus, I can confirm that coffee is good, the service is cheery and there’s even a play corner to keep little ones happy.
There is plenty of seating available both indoors or outside in the courtyard area, with enough room for a pram. There are a number of high chairs available if required. If you do prefer to sit outside in the sunshine, there’s a couple of options. High benches and bar stools type seating at the front of the coffeehouse, and covered tables down the side.
As well as the brunch and lunch menu, there is always a big choice of cakes, biscuits, gourmet rolls, quiches and cool drinks in the cabinets. There are gluten free cake and bread options available too. I was there for a quick coffee, after a bushwalk at Victoria Dam. How cute is the mural!
The play area is small but has a range of toys, books, puzzles and a play kitchen.
Elevated Grounds Coffee House is a great kid friendly option for coffee, breakfast or lunch when in Kalamunda. Why don’t you grab a takeaway and combine this with a play in Stirk Park, which is only a short 2-minute walk away.
The free Kalamunda Fairy Door Trail has plenty of doors to discover on Haynes Street too!
Be sure to drop by this cafe for a coffee pitstop or ice cream treat.
