If you’re heading north for a day trip or weekend away, Moore River Brewing Co is one of those places that just works for families. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and has that perfect mix of adults can enjoy themselves while kids are genuinely catered for… not just tolerated.
Located less than 20 minutes from the Moore River Estuary (a super popular spot for families), it’s also only minutes away from my go-to spot, the not-so-secret Moore River rope swing. It makes the perfect stop either before or after a river session. Getting there is easy too, with plenty of parking if you’re driving, or the option to arrive by boat if you’re coming from the river.
There’s no shortage of space for kids to burn off energy. Think wide open grassed areas, garden games set up for play, and the option to bring your own ball or borrow one from the brewery. My kids also loved spotting the local horse nearby. There’s a sign asking visitors not to feed or pat him, but it still adds a lovely country touch to the experience.
Food-wise, it’s all the pub classics done well, burgers, pizza, parmi and other crowd favourites. The kids’ menu includes cheeseburger & chips, fish & chips, or nuggets & chips, making it an easy win even for fussy eaters.
There are plenty of dining options, from indoor seating to relaxed outdoor tables. Highchairs are available, there’s a water station, and you can also purchase treats like slushies and ice creams. If you want a souvenir, there’s Moore River Brewing Co merch available too.
It’s genuinely family-friendly, laid-back and stress-free. I’d highly recommend booking, especially during school holidays and long weekends, as it’s a popular spot for good reason. If you’re exploring Moore River with kids, this one deserves a spot on your must-visit list.
