If you have been hunting for somewhere new to take the little ones on a wet or hot Perth day, there is a fresh option in the northern suburbs. Kiddoz Café Playcentre has opened at the Innaloo Megacentre, tucked in near Spud Shed, with its grand opening on 28 August 2026. Parking is easy, the shops are right there if you need to duck out for something, and it is all indoors, which is exactly what you want when the weather is not playing along.
Inside, it is a bright, busy little space designed with younger children in mind. There is a large ball pit that Harvey made a beeline for, a small climb-through area, a soft play zone for the crawlers and wobbly walkers, and a trampoline section with basketball hoops that got plenty of use.
An LED slide adds a bit of sparkle, and there are interactive wall ball activities and skill testers dotted around.
One of the highlights for us was the café and kitchen role play corner, where the kids happily served up imaginary coffees for a good twenty minutes while I drank a real one.
There is also an interactive dance room, which runs at an additional cost on top of general entry.
A couple of the tech-based attractions were not working on the day we went, including the interactive screen and the vacuum ball shooter, which is worth knowing if your child has their heart set on those. It is a brand new venue, so hopefully those bits are ironed out quickly, but I would not build your visit around them just yet.
The on-site café is halal and serves food, coffee and ice cream, so you can settle in with a table view of the play space rather than juggling snacks from your bag.
There are also three party rooms if you are in the birthday planning stage, which is handy given how quickly party venues book out.
Honestly, I think Kiddoz sits firmly in the toddler and preschooler bracket, roughly four and under. There are things older kids will enjoy, particularly the trampolines and the interactive games, but school-aged children are likely to work their way through everything fairly quickly and start asking what is next. For the younger ones, though, there is a lot of value in the climbing, jumping and imaginative play on offer, and plenty of scope to practise those gross motor skills without anyone getting lost in a giant multi-level frame.
A few practical things before you head over. Socks must be worn at all times, so pack a spare pair or budget for buying some there. A waiver needs to be signed before entry, which is quicker to do at home than in the queue with a wriggly toddler. Booking online is a good idea for weekends and school holidays, and if you would rather wing it, arriving close to opening time is your best bet for a quieter session.
On pricing, entry for babies aged six to twelve months is $8 on weekdays and $10 on weekends. For children aged one to twelve years it is $22.50 on weekdays and $25 on weekends. There are unlimited entry options available too, which are worth looking at if you can see yourself becoming a regular.
Kiddoz is a solid addition for families with toddlers and younger children, especially if you are after somewhere to escape the weather and let them run. Keep your expectations realistic if you are bringing older siblings along, but for the under-fours it is an easy, comfortable couple of hours with decent coffee within arm’s reach.
