As parents, we’re always on the lookout for places that offer food, a welcoming atmosphere, and activities to keep the little ones entertained. If you’re in the Kallaroo area, Grounded Cafe at the Northshore Community Hub ticks a lot of boxes. This hidden cafe is found opposite the tennis courts and serves up good coffee, fresh juices, counter treats, and much more. Plus, there’s a playground for the kiddos!
I was heading to the beach, and needed my daily coffee rush on the way, so popped into this spot that I had spied on Instagram. Whether you’re a latte lover or prefer the caffeine hit of a strong espresso, all bases are covered. The weather was already warming up, so I opted for an iced latte (an iced coffee without the ice cream and cream). If coffee isn’t your thang, the cafe also offers many refreshing juices, plus a selection of tempting counter treats that are perfect for a quick snack.
Grounded Cafe doesn’t stop at beverages and snacks; they also have a tastebud tempting brunch and jaffle menu. From classic brunch items like smashed avo and bacon and egg burgers to gourmet beef brisket jaffles, there’s something for everyone. For locals, be sure to keep your eye on their socials for their evening openings. Pizza nights and Sunday sessions have become popular, especially on those evenings when you don’t feel like cooking.
Grounded Cafe provides plenty of seating both inside and outside. You can enjoy a coffee indoors on the comfy sofas, where there is a handy kid’s toy basket.
Or why not enjoy the fresh sea air on the outdoor patio, which overlooks the nearby tennis courts. You can also see the playground from here.
Grounded Cafe also has a small nature-style playground located nearby. It includes a nest swing, climbing frame, and a little boat – all designed to keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy your coffee. There’s plenty of grass to run about on too.
Grounded Cafe is so close to the beach, and I headed to North Mullaloo to sit on the sand and sip on my iced late.
Grounded Cafe at Northshore is a great place for playdates and mums’ group catch-ups in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Find Grounded Cafe at Northshore at 19 Henderson Dr, Kallaroo.
