The Herdsman Hotel or the “Herdy” as it is more affectionately known is a great family venue for a family feed. We had lunch on a Saturday and this establishment is more than family friendly……
The bistro area is large enough to hold 200-300 people and is comfortably appointed. There are toilets at both ends of the eatery and a parent room and baby facilities. The adjoining sports bar is a great spot for the adults to go and have a flutter, and the entire area is built around a huge bar and kitchen.

The meals are amazing. Awesome “pub grub” is available all day and they are very generous serves that will full the hungriest tummies. The chef’s specials are available daily and there is often a part proceeds to a charity meal. What a wonderful way to give back to the community!!
The menu caters for all dietary requirements and an extensive kid’s menu is available to feed the fussiest eaters. The highlight of the kid’s menu must be the ice-cream and milkshake bar. The hardest part will be getting them to choose.
Waiting for food or the little ones have finished? They can go and play in the great, enclosed indoor play equipment area safely and viewable from the restaurant. Often on the weekends, there will be a bouncy castle and other activities on hand to keep the kids amused.
