The Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant is my absolute favourite event of the year! Can you believe this will be its 48th year!?
The most magical night of the year is happening Saturday 12th December 2020. The pageant starts at 7:30pm but families are encouraged to head there early, from 5.30pm, settle in early and enjoy the free entertainment.
Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant 2020
Due to COVID19 regulations, the pageant will run differently this year. Firstly it won’t be taking place through the streets of the City of Perth. Instead it will be held at Langley Park. At the time of writing the pageant route is still to be revealed. Contact tracing and practising a safe physical distance is paramount, if you do not have a ticket you will not be able to attend the 2020 Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant. Ticket registrations are available via www.7perthchristmaspageant.com
Your ticket will state a designated viewing zone. there will be no pass-outs of the perimeter gates. You are free to leave your zone to go to the Family Fun Zone for food and drink as well as the restroom as long as you collect a wrist band from your zone’s exit to be able to get back in. It is suggested you bring a blanket and cushion to sit on. It is requested that you do not bring chairs.
The rest of this article reflects the Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant from the previous year.
I always bring a picnic rug, plenty of water, snacks, jackets, blankets and pavement chalk for my kids, they enjoy drawing and writing all over the road. If you have a small child I would recommend bringing a stroller or the Kmart beach trolley.
There will be some favourite floats as well as spectacular new floats, bands, music and dancers.
Channel 7 personalities
Fat Cat and other familiar faces!
And of course, the star of the show! Santa with his reindeers.
Pageant-goers are encouraged to dress the part, from head to toe, think bells, baubles and a big red nose – Santa’s helpers will be roaming the Christmas Pageant taking pictures, so make sure you dress to get their attention!
Transperth will be putting on additional trains running on the Armadale/Thornlie line, Fremantle line, Midland line, Joondalup line and Mandurah line, visit the Transperth website and pre-plan your journey. A FamilyRider can be purchased for $13.10, which entitles up to seven people unlimited travel on the day of purchase, provided no more than two of them normally pay full fare. If you are driving, please take note of the road closures.
